Elon Musk has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) company called X.AI Corp in Nevada, USA, according to latest reports by the Wall Street Journal. The company is set to compete with Open AI, the development company responsible for the popular chatbot ChatGPT.
Musk is the sole director of X.AI Corp, while Jared Birchall, director of the Musk family office, serves as the company’s secretary. X.AI Corp is already recruiting engineers from top AI laboratories, including former DeepMind employee Igor Babuschkin, and a handful of other skilled engineers.

This move demonstrates Musk’s serious commitment to AI and his desire to establish a foothold in the industry.
