Li Auto debuts its latest and most significant AD Max 3.0 at the Shanghai Auto Show, marking the beginning of the company’s foray into the urban scene. AD Max 3.0 is the first appearance of Li Auto’s full-stack self-development and is equipped with a large-scale AI algorithm that enables real-time perception, decision-making, and planning like a human driver, without relying on high-precision maps. The system has already demonstrated high accuracy in identifying objects such as open car doors and puppies on the side of the road.

Li Auto’s Smart Driving 1.0 will be delivered in 2021, and starting from the L series in August 2022, the Smart Driving technology will be divided into two products, AD Max and AD Pro. The AD Max 2.0 uses NVIDIA OrinX chip and Worcester-level lidar, while the AD Pro 2.0 adopts the Horizon Journey 5 chip, with the former delivering the first high-speed NOA product with visual fusion Lidar and the latter delivering the first high-speed NOA product with pure visual perception.

The AD Max 3.0 will be available for internal tests this quarter and is set to be released in 100 domestic cities by the end of the year, connecting cities and highways seamlessly. Li Auto’s self-operated super charging stations will also be integrated with the AD Max 3.0, making it more convenient for users to Supercharge stations than to visit gas stations. Additionally, Li Auto AD Max 3.0 City NOA’s software and service prices are free for life, with no subscription fee.
