Tesla has reported another year of incredible growth, delivering over 1.8 million electric vehicles globally in 2023, impressive volume also propelled Tesla past a new milestone – over 5 million total vehicles delivered since the company’s founding.
For Q4 2023 alone, Tesla produced nearly 495,000 vehicles and delivered 484,507. Tesla churned out almost as many EVs last quarter as it did in all of 2020, demonstrating its rapid expansion.
Tesla’s highest volume models remain the Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover. Combined deliveries for the pair topped 461,000 in Q4, with total 2023 deliveries reaching nearly 1.74 million.
Production of Tesla’s mass market 3 and Y also soared in 2023 to over 1.77 million vehicles built. Tesla appears well on its way to producing 2 million units per year of these high demand models.
The blockbuster sales volume provides impressive revenue to fund Tesla’s global expansion and new vehicles like the Cybertruck and Semi. Elon Musk is kicking off 2024 with a dose of transparency, host open tesla and spaceX company talks in 2024. Tesla plans to detail full financial results for Q4 and fiscal year 2023 on January 24th.
