Tesla’s Next-Gen Roadster Aims for Ludicrous Speed in Late 2024 Unveiling

Tesla's Next-Gen Roadster

Tesla has set its sights on late 2024 to unveil the next-generation Roadster, the company’s supercar originally revealed in 2017. This version is shaping up to be Tesla’s most ambitious vehicle yet, achieving blink-and-you’ll-miss-it acceleration.

According to Elon Musk, deliveries of the next-gen Roadster will start in 2025. Performance is expected to be insane, with Musk targeting a 0-60 mph time of around 1 second thanks to rocket technology from SpaceX.

Musk has hyped the Roadster’s capabilities, saying “There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car.” He also claims the product demo will be “the most mind-blowing of all time.”

Collaborating with SpaceX, Tesla has supposedly increased the Roadster’s design goals radically. Musk says production design is now complete and the focus shifts toward unveiling and shipping in the next two years.

Few details are known about the next-gen Roadster, though the original was capable of 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds with a top speed over 250 mph. The new version is expected to push performance to unbelievable new levels using cold gas thrusters adapted from SpaceX’s rocket technology.

If Tesla can achieve such extreme speed and power, the next-gen Roadster would truly live up to Musk’s hype as an insane, rocket-powered supercar. It would mark a fitting revival of Tesla’s very first vehicle model and demonstrate the company’s continued EV innovation. For those looking for blistering, futuristic performance, the late 2024 unveiling can’t come soon enough.
