Canada Tesla Owner Update News, FSD Beta v12.3.1 now rolling out in Canada in 2023.44.30.30

FSD Beta V12.3.1 Approved for Canadian Deployment

After some extra testing and educational efforts, Tesla’s latest Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta software is finally making its way to vehicles in Canada. FSD v12.3.1 beta update began rolling out recently under build 2023.44.30.30.

FSD Beta V12.3.1 Approved for Canadian Deployment

While the previous v12.3 update didn’t make it across the border initially, Rohan Patel from Tesla’s policy team confirmed there were no specific issues holding it back from Canada.

“No issue on FSD that I know of with Transport Canada,” Patel stated. “We have been doing a lot of educational efforts with Transport Canada and many other regulatory bodies on our supervised FSD system. In general, regulators seem quite impressed.”

The extra time allowed Tesla to ensure v12.3.1 cleared all requirements before enabling the advanced driver assistance features for Canadian customers.

As Tesla continues its pioneering work towards full autonomous driving capabilities, maintaining an open dialogue with regulators is crucial. Patel’s comments highlight the importance of educational initiatives to foster understanding and trust in the system.

With FSD Beta v12.3.1 now armed and ready in Canada, the rollout process can progress as a collaborative effort between automaker and governing bodies. Successful deployment likely hinges on this continuous knowledge sharing.

While the road ahead is still long, this latest milestone marks another step forward for Tesla’s industry-leading self-driving ambitions. Canadian owners can now get a taste of the future, with v12.3.1 enabling supervised FSD on local roads.
