Buckling to days of intense speculation (is Tesla $199 FSD subscription too pricey? a $99 option may be coming), Tesla has finally pulled the trigger on a long-awaited price cut for its premium Full Self-Driving subscription service. Say goodbye to that $199 per month sticker shock – FSD is now available for just $99 monthly!
This new $99 pricing applies to both new and existing FSD subscribers alike across the U.S. and Canada. For first-time buyers, it’s an absolute no-brainer to take Tesla’s advanced driver assistance suite for an extended spin at this lower rate.
Tesla even recently treated over 2 million owners to a free one-month trial of the FSD experience. Talk about an aggressive hook to get people hooked on those hands-free driving features.
But perhaps the biggest winners here are the long-suffering FSD faithful who’ve been paying that $199 premium all along. Tesla is clearly hoping to retain (and expand) that base with a newfound sense of value at this lower $99 tier.
The other big incentive shift? Redeeming three months of FSD through Tesla’s referral program now only requires 6,000 credits versus the previous 10,000.
