Tesla’s FSD update v12.6 is rolling out to owners with AI3 (HW3) vehicles, update introduces several key improvements that promise to enhance the driving experience for Tesla owners.
The standout feature in FSD v12.6 is the implementation of end-to-end navigation on highways. Allows for more seamless transitions between highway segments, with earlier and more natural lane change decisions that better mirror human driving behavior.
Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla VP of Autopilot / AI says: “Pulled in a few important improvements from v13 into this 12.6 release for AI3. Initially rolling out to S/X customers, other platforms should be within a week.”
One of the most notable improvements comes in city street navigation. The update addresses previous concerns about false slowdowns and enhances obstacle avoidance capabilities. Aims to create a smoother, more confident driving experience in urban environments.
Tesla has introduced adjustable speed profiles for roads and highways with speed limits of 50mph (80kph) or higher. New feature gives drivers more control over their vehicle’s behavior while maintaining safety parameters.
Tesla’s innovative Max Speed Update allows the Autopilot system to dynamically determine appropriate speeds within user-defined limits, adapting to real-world conditions while maintaining safety parameters.
