Tesla has dropped an April Fool’s Day surprise, and it’s the Cybertruck safety crash experiment we’ve all been waiting for. In a video released on Tesla’s social media channels, the Cybertruck can be seen approaching various collision obstacles, but just as it’s about to make impact, the video cuts away.
The footage is on an infinite loop, making it easy to get lost in the mesmerizing shots, However, some of the shots here appear to be taken from real experiments, giving us a glimpse into the design of the Cybertruck chassis.
Most revealing shots is from the bottom of the car, which shows the crumple-capable frame, A-arms, steering linkage, torsion bar, and drive unit. The lower control arms in green, the place where the struts connect via a bushing, inner and outer tie rods in dark red, and the torsion bar in white-ish are all visible in the shot.
While Tesla is known for their cutting-edge technology, their emphasis on safety should not be overlooked. The Cybertruck’s futuristic design and construction make it one of the safest vehicles on the road, and this video serves as a testament to that.
As always, Tesla continues to push boundaries and innovate in the automotive industry. We can’t wait to see what they have in store next.
