Tesla Q2 2023 Production and Deliveries Break Records, Nearly 480k Vehicles

Canaccord Genuity just cut his price target on $TSLA from $267 to $234

Tesla tweet say in Q2, we produced nearly 480k vehicles & delivered over 466k vehicles. The electric vehicle pioneer delivered an eye-popping 466,140 cars this quarter, blowing past analysts’ expectations.

Talk about overachieving! With Shanghai Gigafactory shut down for 2 months last year, who’d’ve thunk China would lead the charge in deliveries this quarter? pressure was on in China, which is Tesla’s most competitive and high-pressure market, yet the company delivered with ease. North America’s growth may have been smallest, but that stable market’s got nothin’ to sneeze at with its huge production base.

All told, Tesla’s crafted nearly 1 million EVs so far this year. At this rate, hitting their target of 1.8 million total vehicles in 2023 should be a piece of cake.

Remember Q2 2020 when Covid threw a wrench in production? Q2 2022 saw China’s Covid-spurred shutdowns cause similar headaches. Still, Tesla busted out record-crushing numbers – talk about resilient! Wall Street expected 447,000 deliveries; Tesla laughed in their faces with 466,140.

The company’s Q2 2023 earnings report will be released on July 19, 2023 at 4:30 PM CT / 5:30 PM ET.
