Volkswagen’s been busy cookin’ up some exciting new EVs lately, and their latest creation is gonna make wagon lovers swoon. The German automaker was recently spied test-driving the 2024-2025 all-new ID.7 Tourer, and it looks like this electric wagon’s ready to hit the road.
Vehicle was not camouflaged, providing a clear view of the entire model. The ID.7 Tourer has an aggressive oversized coupé with SUV looks, which has sparked the interest of car enthusiasts hoping it will be the production version of the ID Space Vizzion/ID.7 Tourer.
The ID.7 Tourer’s a far cry from the boxy wagons of yesteryear. This sleek ride sports an aggressive, oversized coupe-like silhouette with major SUV vibes. With not a ton of options for stylish family haulers Stateside, lotsa folks have been jonesing for an alternative to the usual SUV suspects.
VW had given us a sneak peek at renders of the ID.7 Tourer’s interior and exterior, highlighting its high roofline and tall hood that lend it that SUV feel. The design also includes a full-width taillight like the ID.7 Vizzion concept, and the overall shape is super spacious. The side view is sleek and streamlined, with multiple waistline details that add depth.
Size-wise, the ID.7 Tourer measures around 195 inches long, 73 inches wide, and 60 inches tall, with a 117-inch wheelbase. The rear-wheel drive version will pack 286 horses and come in two flavors with ranges of either 238 or 270 miles per charge.
VW may also offer an all-wheel drive GTX version of the wagon, trading some range for extra horsepower. The ID.7 Tourer reveal has gotten lotsa folks pumped for a more practical yet stylish option than your standard SUV. It’ll be interesting to see how this slick new wagon fares once it hits the market!
