Volkswagen ID.7

Volkswagen has commenced production of its new electric flagship, the ID.7 sedan, at its Emden factory in Germany. The EV is now available for pre-order in Europe starting at €56,995.

As VW’s sixth ID. series model, the ID.7 represents the brand’s push into the electric luxury segment. It will offer various trims including Pro, Pro S, and a high-performance GTX variant with AWD.

The entry-level ID.7 Pro comes equipped with a 77 kWh battery providing 621 km (386 miles) of range. Its rear-mounted motor generates 210 kW (281 hp) and 545 Nm of torque for brisk acceleration.

VW says aerodynamic optimization helps the ID.7 achieve superb energy efficiency from 14.1-16.3 kWh/100km. Standard tech includes keyless entry, AR head-up display, and advanced navigation.

Higher trims add amenities like massaging seats, ambient lighting, an upgraded Harman Kardon audio system, and a more powerful 86 kWh battery with 700+ km of range.

According to VW CEO Thomas Schäfer, the ID.7 launch represents a major milestone in the brand’s EV transformation. As VW ramps up electric lineups across segments, the ID.7 ushers in a new era of sustainable luxury.

With class-leading range, technology, and trademark VW quality, the company aims to convert even the most discerning buyers to electric. The ID.7 sets the bar for affordable yet premium electric motoring.
