SpaceX Starlink Texas Factory Now Producing 15,000 Starlink Kit Terminals Daily

Texas Starlink Terminal Manufacturing in Texas

SpaceX has pulled back the curtain on its new Starlink production facility in Texas through a released video. Starlink factory has reached an astonishing production capacity of 15,000 Starlink kits per day, translating to nearly 5.5 million units annually.

The manufacturing line, showcased in December 2024, operates with remarkable precision. Early venture capital investor Steve Jurvetson, who toured the facility, described it as “the closest thing to a fully-automated alien dreadnought” he’s ever encountered.

The production systems work in synchronized harmony, assembling complex satellite terminals with minimal human input. This level of automation allows SpaceX to maintain consistent quality while scaling production to meet growing demand for Starlink kits.

What sets the Starlink terminal facility apart is its printed circuit board (PCB) production capabilities. The PCB manufacturing section has earned recognition as the largest such operation in America. Achievement highlights SpaceX’s dedication to building domestic manufacturing capacity rather than outsourcing this critical component.

The technical sophistication embedded in each Starlink terminal demonstrates the company’s engineering expertise. Every unit contains a Ku-band phased array antenna capable of tracking satellites without moving parts. This innovation enables seamless communication with orbiting satellites through electronic beam steering rather than mechanical adjustments.

Currently, Starlink is providing high-speed internet connectivity to more than 5 million people across 125 countries and territories. As production at the Texas Starlink factory continues to ramp up, those numbers are poised to increase dramatically in the coming months.
