In a dramatic real-world test of Tesla’s controversial vehicle design, a Cybertruck owner and his young daughter walked away from what could have been a tragic accident. The incident occurred when a drunk driver in a Toyota Tundra ran a red light at approximately 60 mph, crashing directly into the side of the Cybertruck.
“A few days ago, our Cybertruck saved my life and the life of my 5-year-old daughter,” the owner stated after the collision. “We were T-boned by a drunk driver who ran a red light going 60 miles per hour.”

Law enforcement officials at the scene were reportedly astonished by the Cybertruck’s structural integrity. “The police on the scene told us that if we had been in any other vehicle, the car would’ve flipped and been torn in half,” the owner recounted.
The alleged drunk driver, a 29-year-old man, didn’t stop at causing the collision. After the crash, he attempted to flee by carjacking another vehicle before being apprehended by authorities.
The incident has only strengthened the owner’s confidence in Tesla’s engineering. Rather than being deterred by the experience, he’s doubling down on his commitment to the brand.
“I’ll be buying a new Cyberbeast this week,” he declared, referring to the high-performance variant of the Cybertruck. The owner went further, adding, “If you love your family, buy a Tesla.”
