Tesla Reveals Semi Truck Factory Progress and Official Logo

Tesla Semi

Tesla has reached a significant milestone in its commercial vehicle strategy, revealing new footage of its dedicated Semi truck production facility currently under construction adjacent to the Giga Nevada. Video showcases the substantial progress made on what will become the manufacturing hub for Tesla’s long-awaited electric heavy-duty transport solution.

The Tesla Semi production facility has completed its structural phase, with walls, support columns, and concrete foundation now in place. According to Dan Priestley, who heads the Tesla Semi program, the project has transitioned to the equipment installation phase as the company prepares for initial production runs.

The purpose-built factory represents a significant investment in Tesla’s commercial vehicle ambitions, with planned annual capacity reaching an impressive 50k units once fully operational. Production volume signals Tesla’s confidence in market demand for its electric freight solution.

While the Tesla Semi has faced several delays since its initial unveiling, the company has established a clearer roadmap for its commercial rollout. First production units are expected to exit the assembly line before year’s end, with volume manufacturing ramping throughout 2026.

The Tesla Semi stands apart as the company’s only announced vehicle yet to reach mass production status. However, Priestley noted that extensive road testing with logistics partners has provided valuable operational data, leading to significant refinements in both the vehicle design and manufacturing processes.

The footage concludes with the first official reveal of the Tesla Semi’s dedicated logo. Maintaining Tesla’s characteristic minimalist design language, the new emblem features a distinctive treatment of the letter “E” using three horizontal bars. The industrial styling creates a visual identity that communicates precision engineering while differentiating itself from the more unconventional Cybertruck branding.
