Tesla has quietly rolled out a practical new feature in its mobile application that brings vehicle maintenance management to the next level. Tesla App now displays recommended maintenance items along with each component’s estimated remaining life, giving owners unprecedented visibility into their vehicle’s service needs.
New functionality can be accessed by navigating to Service → Request Service → Maintenance within the Tesla App. Interface presents a straightforward list of components that may require attention, complete with remaining lifespan percentages and replacement costs.

Tesla App now shows detailed maintenance recommendations with remarkable transparency. Current examples include:
- Cabin Air Filter: 77% life remaining ($59)
- Wiper Blade: 55% remaining ($133)
- Tire Rotation: 20% remaining ($65)
Each item includes an estimated replacement cost and projected date for service, helping owners budget and plan accordingly. App now eliminates the guesswork traditionally associated with vehicle maintenance schedules.
Maintenance tracking feature is available globally in Tesla App version 4.49.5 and later, covering most Tesla models across markets. UK owners of 2023 Model 3 vehicles can access these insights through the Service > Maintenance menu, provided their app is updated to version 4.38 or newer.
If the maintenance section isn’t visible, users should ensure both their mobile application and vehicle software are current. A simple refresh or checking Controls > Service in the vehicle may resolve visibility issues.
With this update, Tesla has truly “maintained” its reputation for innovation by bringing service transparency right to owners’ smartphones.
