Google Quietly Drops Android Auto 10 Beta – What’s New?

Google dropped the first beta version of Android Auto 10 on us without any fanfare, for starters, Google seems to be focusing on stability improvements with this release. The beta testing appears to only include minor improvements and bug fixes, which suggests that Google may be ironing out the kinks in the software to make it more reliable and user-friendly.

The direct jump to version 10 from the current stable channel version of 9.9 could indicate that Google has some major updates planned for Android Auto in future beta versions. What could these updates be?

Beta version of Android Auto 10 includes some nifty improvements, such as enhancements to the “Do Not Disturb” feature and the ability to set the “Night Mode” to always display in the dark UI within the app. Plus, there are some bug fixes and other improvements that should make the app run smoother and more efficiently.

And let’s not forget about the CoolWalk interface that Google announced earlier this year. This card-style UI interface is similar to Apple CarPlay and is designed to make navigation, music, and phone functionality more intuitive and efficient. We’re hoping to see this interface featured in future Android Auto 10 beta versions, but for now, we’ll just have to wait and see.

So, when can we expect to see the official release of Android Auto 10? if you can’t wait that long, you can always manually download the standalone APK to experience the Android Auto 10 beta version for yourself.
