Tesla is building out campus amenities at Gigafactory Texas, filing permits for a 22,000+ square foot employee cafeteria dubbed the Cyber Cafeteria.
The $10 million project will provide a spacious dining facility for the tens of thousands of workers expected to be based at the Austin Gigafactory.
With the plant rapidly scaling production of the Model Y and soon the Cybertruck, Cybertruck Orders Surpass 1.9 Million, its workforce is growing at a similar pace. Providing on-site dining and break facilities is key for supporting employees.
The Cyber Cafe plans call for a modern interior with communal tables, booth seating, a pantry, kitchen, and serving stations. Outdoor seating is also included.

Construction is slated to begin in October 2023 with completion targeted for April 2024 according to the filings. The cafe would open its doors to employees later that year.
Tesla projects the Austin Gigafactory will house around 10,000 workers when fully ramped. The massive Cyber Cafe will be able to conveniently serve thousands per day as operations scale up.
With the Boring Company also constructing an underground transit loop at Gigafactory Texas, Tesla continues building out the amenities and infrastructure to support a large workforce. The Cyber Cafe promises a dining oasis tailored for its team.
