Porsche is turning up the voltage on its Taycan electric sedan with a comprehensive 2025 model year refresh. With even faster charging speeds, updated styling, and more power, the German automaker aims to keep the Taycan at the forefront of high-performance EVs.
The 2025 Taycan’s exterior receives subtle but modernizing updates. The headlights and taillights are redesigned for a sleeker look, while new front and rear fascias smooth out the Taycan’s shape. But the changes are more than skin deep.
At the heart of the matter is a new 105 kWh Performance Battery Plus, enabling ranges up to 308 miles. With batteries optimized for thermal management and charging, Porsche says the 2025 Taycan will be among the fastest-charging production EVs. Using a 320 kW charger, the battery can hit 80% charge in just 18 minutes.
New electric motors paired with the upgraded battery can unleash up to 750 hp in the Turbo S model, rocketing it to 60 mph in a physics-defying 2.3 seconds. Even the base Taycan now produces up to 402 hp, hitting 60 in 3.9 seconds.
Beyond raw speed, the new Taycan excels at refinement. A next-gen heat pump boosts HVAC efficiency, while adaptive air suspension enhances ride comfort. Upgraded brakes allow for over 30% more regenerative braking power.
The modernized interior features Porsche’s latest intuitive controls and a curved panoramic display panel. Connected services and over-the-air updates further boost functionality.
With a starting price of $101,000, the 2025 Taycan maintains the original model’s elite status. But for those seeking no-compromise EV performance, new Turbo S range-topper peaks at $214,000. Deliveries commence summer in the US.
In just a few short years, the Taycan has already transformed perceptions of EVs. This ambitious 2025 update shows Porsche remains fully committed to high-voltage excellence.
