Li Auto has just dropped some jaw-dropping numbers for September 2024, and they’re painting a picture of an EV powerhouse on the rise. The Chinese automaker delivered a staggering 53,709 vehicles last month, catapulting its year-over-year growth to 48.9%.
That’s not all. Li Auto’s Q3 performance is equally impressive, with 152,831 vehicles delivered – a 45.4% jump from last year. By September’s end, the company had pushed out 341,812 vehicles in 2024 alone, bringing its total deliveries to a whopping 975,176 units.
Li Xiang, the company’s Chairman and CEO, didn’t mince words about Li Auto’s market position. “In the premium NEV market above 200k RMB, we’re commanding over 17% market share, putting us at the top among Chinese brands,” he stated. What’s more, Li Auto’s weekly sales have even outpaced luxury titans like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi for the first time.
October’s looking bright for Li Auto, with the company poised to hit a major milestone: delivering its 1 millionth vehicle. This achievement isn’t just about numbers – it’s a testament to the rapid evolution of smart NEVs and intelligent driving tech.
Li Auto’s success isn’t just about churning out vehicles. The company’s hefty R&D investments are paying off, with monthly OTA updates keeping their cars cutting-edge. Their new end-to-end autonomous driving architecture and VLM system are already in the hands of thousands of users, promising safer and more convenient rides.
To support its growing fleet, Li Auto has been busy expanding its footprint. By September’s end, the company boasted 479 retail centers across 145 Chinese cities, backed by 436 after-sales and authorized service centers. Not to mention the 894 Li Auto Supercharging stations dotting the country, sporting a total of 4,286 charging piles.
As Li Auto revs up for its millionth delivery, it’s clear the company isn’t just along for the ride – it’s driving the future of EVs in China and beyond.
