XPeng has made waves at the Paris Motor Show with the unveiling of its P7+ model, a luxury electric vehicle that’s set to disrupt the market with its competitive pricing and impressive features. With a starting pre-sale price of CNY 209,800 (approximately $28,700), P7+ has already garnered significant attention, securing over 30k pre-orders in less than two hours.
The P7+ doesn’t skimp on luxury, offering a suite of high-end features as standard across its lineup. Buyers can expect autonomous driving capabilities, ventilated and heated massage seats for all passengers, electric adjustment for every seat, premium Nappa leather and ultra-suede headliner, and a robust audio system featuring 20 high-end speakers.
While the P7+ foregoes lidar technology, it compensates with dual Orin chips, signaling XPeng’s commitment to vision-based systems. This transition promises numerous benefits for Pro users, although it may not include advanced city-level Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) or parking-to-parking autonomous driving.
XPeng isn’t content with dominating the Chinese market alone. The company has ambitious plans to expand its presence from 30 to over 60 countries and regions by 2025. This aggressive growth strategy aims to position XPeng as the leading Chinese premium new energy vehicle brand on the global stage, with a goal of deriving half of its total sales from international markets within the next decade.
This latest move marks XPeng’s second global expansion strategy, distinguished from its initial exploratory phase by a more comprehensive and systematic approach. The company appears poised to leverage its success in the Chinese market to make a significant impact on the international EV landscape.
As XPeng charges forward with its P7+ model, it’s clear the company is plugged into the future of electric vehicles, aiming to spark a revolution in the global automotive market.
