Li Auto CEO Li Xiang announced today that the company will unveil the Li MEGA Ultra Smart Driving Refreshed Edition at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 23. The event will also feature the debut of a new variant called the new MEGA Refreshed Home Family Edition, expanding the MEGA product line with a focus on family-oriented features.
New models maintain the RMB 529,800 price point, with the company confirming that customers who have already placed reservations or plan to do so will have the flexibility to select their preferred version and color when finalizing their configuration.
The MEGA Refreshed Home Family Edition represents a significant shift in how the company envisions automotive interiors. Li Xiang described this variant as “a mobile space with a spacious living room,” designed to facilitate face-to-face interaction among family members for conversation, dining, entertainment, and collaborative work.
This concept pushes beyond the conventional “home on wheels” approach, aiming to create what the company calls a “happy home” that fosters connection among passengers.
The Li MEGA Ultra Smart Driving Refreshed Edition, which began accepting pre-orders in March with deliveries scheduled to start in May, brings substantial technological improvements to the platform.
Regulatory filings indicate that models equipped with the AD Pro intelligent driving system will now include LiDAR technology, effectively matching the active safety capabilities previously exclusive to the higher-tier AD Max system. New implementation features a more compact LiDAR solution than previous versions.
Additionally, vehicles with the AD Max system will transition from the dual NVIDIA Orin-X chip configuration to a single Thor-U chip architecture. According to Li Auto, both setups deliver equivalent performance for advanced driver assistance and full-scenario Navigate-on-Autopilot functionality. Support end-to-end AI integration with VLM large models and will be compatible with the upcoming VLA large model expected later this year.
Li MEGA lineup continues to drive innovation in the premium electric vehicle space, with these refreshed editions set to MEGA-boost the company’s presence in the competitive Chinese market.
