Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO has officially launched its newest model, the Firefly, marking the company’s strategic entry into the compact EV segment. Starting at ¥119,800 RMB (approximately $16,500 USD), all-electric hatchback represents NIO’s most affordable offering to date while maintaining the brand’s reputation for quality and innovative design. Range figures stand at 420 km based on China’s CLTC standard, which typically translates to approximately 340-360 km in real-world conditions or European WLTP testing. Absence of a heat pump could further impact winter driving range in colder European markets.
