Pre-orders for the refreshed Model 3 kicked off in Italy on September 1st, starting at €25,990. Now prospective owners can see the revamped electric sedan in person ahead of deliveries next month.
Photos shared by Tesla Club Italy show a Tesla retail location unveiling the Model 3 Highland in a closed-door presentation for customers. The showroom later opened its doors to allow the general public a firsthand glimpse.
Two trim levels are offered in Italy – the rear-wheel drive Model 3 Highland starting at €42,490 and the all-wheel drive model 3 Long Range opening at €49,990 before options. A €1,350 tow hitch can add 2,200+ pound towing capacity.
The Italy-bound Model 3 Highlands are built at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, which has ramped production of the updated model for both domestic Chinese sales and exports to Europe. Recent drone flyovers revealed hundreds of units ready for shipment at the factory.
As Tesla’s most affordable offering, the Model 3 has proven highly popular across Europe where EV adoption continues accelerating. The Model 3 Highland provides refreshed styling and features to further boost Tesla’s sales.
With the order books open and showroom unveilings underway, the stage is set for Italian drivers to soon experience the improved Model 3 firsthand as deliveries commence nationwide next month.
