Tesla Spring Software Update 2025: Adaptive Headlights, Enhanced Safety & Smarter Navigation

Tesla Spring Software Update 2025

Tesla has rolled out its Spring software update for 2025, introducing a substantial array of new features that enhance both safety and convenience across its vehicle lineup. Update delivers on multiple fronts—from expanded camera views to improved entertainment options—showcasing Tesla’s commitment to continuous improvement through OTA updates.

For Tesla owners in the United States and Canada, Adaptive Headlights are now available, automatically adjusting light patterns based on road conditions and traffic. Feature works alongside an improved Blind Spot Camera system, which now displays feeds on the instrument panel in Model S/X vehicles.

Safety enhancements extend to the recording systems as well. Tesla’s Spring software update adds side camera (B-Pillar) footage to both Dashcam and Sentry recordings, increasing available camera views from four to six. To complement this expansion, Dashcam Viewer app has been redesigned with a grid layout and quicker navigation between clips, making incident review significantly more efficient.

Cybertruck owners receive specific safety upgrades, including Lane Departure Avoidance that not only warns but actively assists when the vehicle drifts from its lane. Additionally, Cybertruck will automatically switch to Comfort Drive Mode when Autopilot is engaged, creating a more relaxed driving experience during assisted navigation.

The Tesla Spring software update introduces multiple trip planning options, allowing drivers to select routes that better match their preferences. When viewing charging locations, the system now displays nearby amenities—restaurants, cafes, and shops—within walking distance, making charging stops more productive.

A new option to avoid highways has been added to the navigation system, providing alternatives for those who prefer scenic routes or want to bypass congested interstates.

Tesla’s Spring software update 2025 brings location-based customization to several vehicle functions. Model 3, Model Y, and new Model S/X owners can now save trunk opening heights based on location, ensuring perfect clearance in spaces like home garages. Cybertruck owners receive similar functionality for the front trunk (frunk).

The update also introduces Keep Accessory Power On, which maintains power to USB ports, inductive phone chargers, and low-voltage outlets after exiting the vehicle, provided the battery level exceeds 20%.

Media search results are now organized by source, streamlining content discovery. Apple Music users can shuffle entire playlists exceeding 100 songs, while SiriusXM listeners can scroll through favorites using steering wheel controls.

The Spring software update adds Amazon Music Free account compatibility (with Premium Connectivity or WiFi) and “Up Next” view for YouTube Music playlists. These improvements, alongside additional keyboard language options, represent Tesla’s spring forward into a more integrated entertainment experience.
