Xiaomi Vision GT Supercar Debuts at MWC Barcelona

Xiaomi Vision GT

Xiaomi’s entering the virtual racing world with physical hardware. The company’s CEO Lei Jun released official images of the Xiaomi Vision GT, a two-door supercar concept that’s set to appear at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo represents the first time a Chinese brand has participated in the Vision Gran Turismo project, a collaboration between the Gran Turismo racing simulation platform and global automotive manufacturers. Sony’s legendary racing franchise has previously worked with established names like Mercedes-Benz, Bugatti, and Lamborghini to create digital vehicles that occasionally inspire real-world concepts.

Xiaomi Vision GT features an aggressive stance with an extremely low and wide body configuration. Engineers positioned the cockpit in a mid-mounted arrangement, incorporating scissor doors that open vertically. A substantial carbon fiber rear wing dominates the rear profile, while ring-shaped taillights provide distinctive visual identification. Elements collectively demonstrate serious aerodynamic intent rather than mere aesthetic flourishes.

Lu Weibing, Xiaomi Group Partner and President, confirmed a live broadcast from MWC Barcelona on March 2 at 18:30. Presentation will showcase the Xiaomi Vision GT alongside a new Leica-branded color variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Additionally, the company plans to demonstrate its “AI + Human-Car-Home Full Ecosystem” integration, showing how its various product lines interconnect.

Alongside the Xiaomi Vision GT reveal, the company’s launching the LEITZPHONE internationally. Leica co-branded version of the 17 Ultra extends Xiaomi’s optical partnership into new markets. Timing suggests the company’s coordinating product launches across multiple categories to maximize attention during MWC.
