SpaceX has launched an updated Starlink mobile website that includes a new promotional video and an interactive coverage map. Release marks a significant expansion of the company’s satellite-to-cellular service, which now reaches over 32 countries and has connected more than 13 million people at least once, up from 12 million at the end of 2025.
New website provides detailed information about current service availability and upcoming coverage areas. Starlink Mobile operates on more than 40+ Apps and functions across 100+ devices, offering basic connectivity that includes text messaging and emergency services in supported regions.

The company has revealed technical specifications for its second-generation Starlink Mobile satellites, which represent a substantial engineering advancement. V2 satellites will incorporate custom SpaceX-designed silicon and phased array antennas, enabling thousands of spatial beams and higher bandwidth capability.
According to SpaceX’s specifications, V2 mobile satellites will deliver approximately 20x the throughput capability compared to first-generation satellites. System aims to achieve 100x the data density of current V1 satellites, which should enable streaming services, internet browsing, and voice calls comparable to terrestrial networks.
Next-generation satellites will enable full 5G cellular connectivity from space. SpaceX states that the V2 network will provide coverage to locations “never thought possible via the highest performing satellite-to-mobile network ever built.”
Future Starlink Mobile service will expand beyond basic connectivity to include video calls, streaming, email access, and other data-intensive applications. The company’s current service footprint covers more than 1.7 billion people across 32+ countries, though actual service availability varies by region and carrier partnerships.
SpaceX has not disclosed a specific launch timeline for the V2 mobile satellites or when enhanced services will become available to users. The company continues to deploy first-generation Starlink Mobile satellites while developing the next-generation hardware.
Updated coverage map shows both active service areas and regions where Starlink Mobile is coming soon, though SpaceX has not provided estimated activation dates for these future markets. Regulatory approvals and carrier partnerships will determine actual service rollout schedules in each country.
