SpaceX has quietly doubled the data allowance for Starlink Roam subscribers, and it won’t cost them anything extra. The company increased the monthly allocation from 50GB to 100GB across several markets, making the portable internet service significantly more attractive for users who need connectivity on the go.
Enhanced data package applies to customers in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Previously, subscribers paid $50 per month for 50GB of high-speed data. Now, they’re getting 100GB for the same price, effectively cutting the cost per gigabyte in half.

“Your plan now includes 100GB of high-speed data at no additional cost—so you can stay connected wherever you roam,” the company informed users.
This isn’t just a minor tweak. For occasional users, the change represents real value. You’re getting significantly more data without adjusting your monthly budget.
Starlink Roam subscriber Brad Roekle shared his experience on X after noticing the update. “Looks like I just got upgraded for my Starlink Roam from $50 for 50gb to $50 for 100gb. Hope that means every GB over its $0.50. Seems like a better deal for us who go camping once a month who don’t need unlimited,” he wrote.
His observation highlights an important distinction, not everyone needs unlimited data. Some customers simply want reliable connectivity during weekend trips or monthly getaways. Doubled allocation addresses that middle ground between limited data and costly unlimited plans.
SpaceX continues refining its satellite internet offerings as competition heats up in the mobile connectivity space. By doubling Starlink Roam data allocations, the company strengthens its position without forcing customers to upgrade to more expensive tiers.
For users who don’t need constant connectivity but want reliable internet access during travel, this change makes Starlink Roam considerably more practical. Whether you’re camping, road-tripping, or working remotely from various locations, having twice the data means fewer concerns about hitting your limit mid-trip. It’s clear SpaceX wants to keep Starlink Roam users firmly in their service area.
