Xiaomi Auto and NIO Partner to Integrate Charging Networks

Xiaomi Auto and NIO announced a groundbreaking partnership today, merging their charging infrastructures to create one of the most extensive EV charging networks in China market.

NIO’s contribution of over 14k charging piles to Xiaomi’s charging map marks a transformative step for both companies. Through the Xiaomi Auto app, users can now access real-time updates on charging station availability and utilize a seamless scan-to-charge feature across NIO’s extensive network.

The partnership leverages NIO Energy’s impressive infrastructure of 4,206 charging stations and 24,713 charging piles nationwide. This integration significantly expands charging accessibility for both brands’ customers, addressing one of the primary concerns in EV adoption – charging convenience.

Xiaomi Auto’s entrance into the EV market has been notably successful, with their SU7 series reaching the 100k unit milestone in just 230 days post-launch. The company isn’t slowing down – their upcoming YU7 SUV model, targeted for a mid-2025 release, signals continued momentum in the competitive Chinese EV market.
